I wrote a while ago about looking for TV shows, old and new.
So this post is about new TV series that I might look at.

The shows are in now particular order.

Royal Pains:

Lie to Me:

Inspired by a real-life behavioral scientist, this FOX drama tells the tale of a deception expert who helps uncover the truth for the FBI, local police, law firms, corporations, and individuals. Dr. Cal Lightman and his team are effectively human polygraph machines, and no truth can be concealed from them. The Lightman Group is headed by Dr. Cal Lightman and his partner Dr. Gillian Foster who is a gifted psychologist. She brings balance to the partnership by thinking about the overall picture while Lightman focuses on the details. Together they make an invincible team with insight into human behavior. Eli Loker is the lead researcher, who believes in radical honesty. He often gets in trouble for saying what he thinks. Ria Torres is one of the few “naturals” in the field of deception detection. She has an untapped ability to read people that makes her a force to be reckoned with the right training.

Castle:

Meet Richard Castle: he’s a successful murder-mystery writer who has just killed off his main character. However, it seems one of his fans liked his books just a bit too much when a copycat murderer starts running around killing people as described in Castle’s books.

Hawthorne:

As a single mother and the Chief Nursing Officer at Richmond Trinity Hospital in North Carolina, Christina Hawthorne makes caretaking her life’s work. TNT orders up another drama centering on a strong female lead in this project from Emmy-winning writer-producer John Masius.

Raising The Bar:

From the creators of NYPD Blue, Hill Street Blues, and L.A.Law; Raising the Bar is about a group of young lawyer friends and former law school classmates who find themselves on opposing sides.

Dark Blue:

Dylan McDermott stars as Carter Shaw, head of an undercover police team. Shaw has a shady, troubled past, and alongside his team works very deep undercover.

King:

Inspired by the biblical story of King David, this contemporary soap is about a typical small town guy who becomes involved with high society and politics and rises to the top against all odds.

Nurse Jackie:

Comedy meets drama in this quirky Showtime offering which spotlights the versatility of actress Edie Falco. Set in a New York City hospital, this half-hour single camera comedy is about a strong-willed woman balancing a hectic work life with a complex personal life, all the while fighting the healthcare system along the way.

Dollhouse:

They can be anyone you want.

The Dollhouse is a very secret, and very illegal, place where wishes come true. Clients with the right connections and enough money can hire “Actives”, people who have been programmed to perfectly fulfill the needs, and desires of their clients. The Actives are people who have chosen, for their own reasons, to surrender their bodies and minds for a five-year stay in the Dollhouse. Now they can be imprinted with any personality, skill, or even muscle memory. They can be the perfect companion, lover, spy, assassin; and when the job is done they forget everything.

Later This Year:

When UFO’s place themselves over major cities around the world and claim they are here to help Humans, different characters become suspicious of the ‘V’s (visitors) real intentions and try to investigate what is really going on before it is too late.

Based on the original 1980s miniseries about alien lizards visiting Earth, this ABC sci-fi project is the brainchild of The 4400 co-creator/exec producer Scott Peters.

Modern Family:

This mockumentary explores the many different types of a modern family through the stories of a gay couple, a straight couple and a multi-ethnic couple.

Sons of Tucson:

Three wealthy young brothers hire a hustler to pose as their father when their real one goes to prison for committing a white collar crime in this FOX comedy project.

Community:

This Stripes-inspired comedy is about a group of misfits attending the Greendale Community College. The focus group of the Community is lead by a lawyer with a revoked degree.

Glee:

Ahhh, its a High School Musical TV series.

Past Life:

Inspired from the book Reincarnationist, Past Life is about investigators taking clients back to their previous lives to resolve issues in the present. Dr. Kate Mcginn is confident and highly educated. She tries to understand the science behind the soul at The Talmadge Center for Behavioral Health in New York City. Her partner Price Whatley is the total opposite a real cynic as he battles his grief.

Flash Forward:

Dubbed ABC’s ‘companion series to Lost,’ this drama project is based on Robert J. Sawyer’s sci-fi novel of the same name. The plot centers around an eerie, chaotic vision of the future.

The Vampire Diaries:

The Vampire Diaries is based on a novel series penned by L.J. Smith about two vampire brothers – one evil and one good -who vie for the soul of Elena Gilbert, a young woman, her friends and her family.
