I was planing to replace my NAS device I got last year with something better. I loved the NAS and the idea of being able to access my files from any PC from the network.

After reading for a while I decided to go with a windows home server (WHS), It’s got a lot of functionality, much better than a normal NAS.

I ordered the Acer Aspire AH340-UA230N Windows Home Server from amazon 2 days ago and got it today.

The device looks great, its very sleek.

The specs are very good too:

With the 3 bays you can have up to 7TB of storage, which is more than enough for me, unlike some people ;p. And you can get more storage by connceting and external HDD via USB or eSATA.

Since I can’t test it here. I’ll give it a proper review when I get back to Kuwait.

Nawaf some of us have needs for more space and storage… ;)

You are really going to enjoy Windows Home Server, a lot of additions can be made to it and lots of fun to tinker with!

Make sure to take screen shots of what you set it up! :)

    HAHA,

I totally agree with you about the storage part, every body started with 4MB with the old 386/486, and look at us now.

I will sure do. As soon as I get back, I’m going to setup this baby.
