I hate it when someone bad mouths my country. I hate it more when what they say is true.
The BBC did a report about the workers here in Kuwait, and how some Kuwaitis are abusing the system.
oreign workers in Kuwait have complained that the sponsored workers system which is currently in place is unfair, whilst human rights groups have described it as ‘modern day slavery’.
The “Kafeel” is a sponsored workers system which is widely used in most Gulf countries. Workers who come from abroad are usually tied to their sponsor, or local employer and have strict restraints that they must adhere to.
