I  just formatted my PC and did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate, after formatting there are a ton of important programs and applications that need to downloaded and are all over the internet. Thanks to Ninite you don’t have to go hunting them down.

Ninite homepage gives you a list of the most important application that the mainstream user might need with a verity of selections. After ticking your selections the website gives you a single file to run that will automatically download all the apps with no fuss.

Ninite is a great program that will make my upcoming formatting sessions much easier :)

Ninite installs software fast with default settings and
says "no" to browser toolbars and other junk.

Ninite checks your PC’s language and 64-bit support
to install the latest, best version of each program.

Ninite runs on Windows XP/Vista/7 and works in the
background unattended and 100% hands-free.

All Ninite does is automatically download and install
the apps you select. Not even Ninite is installed.

    I prefer the more advanced way since it doesn’t have any limitation to the programs you want to install.

    1) You can make a copy of your Windows 7 with the programs you want installed and configured the way you want it to be.

    2) Use an Installer App the same way that site works and add the programs you want to add + configured, also instead of a trial version you can add a full working version.

    The downside on both of them is you need to update them from time to time, unless you think older versions are better which you can also find here http://www.oldversion.com

    You can also backup your Firefox settings + Addons although it might ask for little tweaking to enable older addons to work.

    Just type %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
    in the Start Search box near the bottom of the Start menu and copy that folder. When you format your PC and install Firefox just replace that profile with the one you saved.
