Al-Jazeera World Cup Pricing Announced
14 Mar 2010 4 CommentsIt seems that AL-Jazeera just announced that if you would like to watch the 2010 World Cup, you will have to fork out $100 ($130 for new customer) to get the pleasure of enjoying the prestigious Football tournament.
But $100 (KD28) is not a lot at all, I remember when ART had the rights for the competitions and people had to pay an arm and a leg (~KD125) to watch 1 month of football.
Thank you Al-jazeera, and I hope I can do the subscription online.

TVU – Watch TV Anywhere
14 Mar 2010 1 CommentTVU is a good way to watch a number of TV channels via internet either using your PC,Mac or iPhone. On all platforms you will need to install an application that will act as your player.
In the desktop version its much easier to search for a channel as there are categories you can go through. But once you get to know the good channels, it shouldn’t be hard to hunt them down on the iPhone too. And I also recommend once you find a channel you like, add it to you favorites.
I’ve tried TVU on my iPhone a few months back. it was pretty stable and did what is said it did. And today, I gave the desktop version a try.
Both desktop and iPhone apps are free.
Ping Pong Dim Sum – Dubai
14 Mar 2010 1 CommentWe went to Ping Pong Dim Sum restaurant when we we here in Dubai, I never been there before but my wife have tried it in London. So I let her do the honors of ordering.
We got several orders of fried and steamed food, ranging from vegetarian to shrimps and chicken. At first I thought that it would be a lot but after the food arrived I realized that I was mistaken.
Both fried and steamed Dim Sum were great, loved every order we had except for the “Wasabi Peanuts” (The only thing I ordered), those things where burning HOT!! and not in a good way.
We had a total of 7 orders I think, and that was not enough I still left there not full, I recommend having 4 of Dim Sum orders per person and you can share them around.
I really liked it and recommend it to anyone who likes dim sum and/or Chinese food.
Ping Pong is located at the lower ground level in Dubai Mall towards the fountains.
