The “Playstation Move” Ad

18 Mar 2010  No Comments

An advertisement for Sony’s upcoming motion controller that they call “Move” was just released and there are some references to Microsoft and Nintendo in it. Overall the advert in my opinion is pretty good and the points that its making are legitimate. It seems that Sony are taking a play right out of Apple’s book.

The references are:

  • "Because real boxers don’t hit like this” <– Wii Sports/Boxing
  • "It’s also got what we in the future call buttons, which turn out to be pretty important to those handful of millions of people who enjoy playing shooters, platformers, well, anything that doesn’t involve catching a big red ball." <– Microsoft’s Project Natal
  • "C’mon, who wants to pretend their hand is a gun. What is this, third grade? Pew, pew, pew.”<– Microsoft’s Project Natal
