Vic Gundorta Taking A Swipe At Apple Every CHance He Gets

21 May 2010  3 Comments

Yesterday, Google had its developers event and it showed-off a ton of new stuff (Google TV). But what I was waiting for was the 2.2 version of Android AKA Froyo.

It has a lot of great new features and new API’s. But what was amusing was watching the video and seeing Google’s Vice president of engineering taking a swipe at Apple every chance he gets. He even used Apple’s 1984 Campaign against them (3 minute mark first video)

The Keynote has a lot of info and demos and I recommend watching it if you have an Android device, planing to get one or you just want to see Steve Jobs have a taste of his own medicine.

5 part video.

I respect what Vic is saying. Google is great and all, but I don’t think I’m ever going switch away from the iPhone. That goes to the computer to. When you use a Mac, you never go back. Steve Jobs FTW.

You are right, but its still a personal preference, I couldn’t use my iPhone here for more than 2 days, I immediately switched to my Nexus One. I felt that I was disconnected with the iPhone. Hope the new version solves this problem.

I think both platforms are great but the connectivity to all the services is what matter! When your in the states you have such a wealth of information to interact with to use with the both the Android and iPhone!

Vic is funny how he keeps shooting Apple down when he has the chance! Android has its good points but still has some way to go!
