The Last Airbender – Movie Review

I was really excited to see this movie, as I watched a season of the anime and found it to be OK. I thought The Last Airbender on the big screen would be great especially M. Night Shyamalan even though his last few movie sucked.

During the first 30 minutes I didn’t like the pace of the movie, I felt they were trying to cramp everything in 90 mins and for people who aren’t familiar with the series would easily get lost. Also the movie could have benefited from the action sequences that i think it was a missed opportunity mr. Shyamalan never did an action movie before so I wont hold it against him.

SPOILER ALERT
The movie just covers the first season of the animated series, so this should be a trilogy but I don’t think it will generate enough profit to convince Paramount to do the next 2 part.

    Kal: it depends on your taste, but I think most people wont like it.

    The cartoon which the movie was adapted from was trying to be an anime but failed in my opinion. It was a big hit since it’s the best animated American cartoon, but on a global level it cannot rival anime shows.

    7asafa!! I was looking forward to watching it!! I watched the anime and I loved it!!
    Its sad that its not that good!!
    but I’m still watching it though :D

    Reviews are bashing it .. but hey it made above expectation at the box office!

    M.Night Shyamalan is talented but he is sucking hard lately ..

    - The Sixth Sense
    - Unbreakable
    - Signs

    Were GREAT!

    - The Village .. was Good

    - Lady in the Water .. was Bad

    - The Happening .. Amazingly Stupid!

    He needs to WAKE UP!
