Pineberry: The Pineapple Strawberry

29 Sep 2010  9 Comments

Is it a new fruit? Actually, no its not. As a matter of fact the Pineberry is an almost extinct fruit brought back to the masses by the UK supermarket chain Waitrose. They look like white strawberries with red seeds. The Pineberry has the flavor that most say is reminiscent of pineapple while retaining the texture and feel of a strawberry……. so they say.

I would really love to try those but because they are already hard to find in Europe I doubt I will any time soon.

28 Sep 2010  No Comments

Research In Motion announced a few hours ago the 7-inch multitouch “PlayBook” tablet that should be available early 2011.

Calling it the “First Professional Tablet” when its called the playbook is a little confusing but I’m loving the native Divx support. Also the tablet will act as a companion for your BlackBerry smartphon and you will be able to tether your data connection via bluetooth. And it has a dual core CPU.

Key features and specifications of the BlackBerry PlayBook, according to RIM, include:

  • BlackBerry Tablet OS with support for symmetric multiprocessing
  • 1 GHz dual-core processor
  • 1 GB RAM
  • Dual HD cameras (3 MP front facing, 5 MP rear facing), supports 1080p HD video recording

  • Audio playback: MP3, AAC, WMA
  • HDMI video output
  • Wi-Fi – 802.11 a/b/g/n
  • Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
  • Connectors: microHDMI, microUSB, charging contacts
  • Open, flexible application platform with support for WebKit/HTML-5, Adobe Flash Player 10.1, Adobe Mobile AIR, Adobe Reader, POSIX, OpenGL, Java
  • Ultra thin and portable:

    • Weighs less than a pound (approximately 0.9 lb or 400g)

Do You Remember This?

Brazil vs Saudi Arabia, Confederations Cup 1999. This game has taught me “Its not over until the fat lady sings” the commentator gets a little carried away when Al-Otaibi scores the equalizing 2nd goal.

I swear that ever since this game I never made fun of other team supporters during the game, and waited till the game ended before I point and laugh at the defeated.

Its a life lesson, don’t get cocky and celebrate pre-maturely. Just ask Man Utd fans last week……. ZING!!

Crazy Stunts

26 Sep 2010  2 Comments

I came across a stunt video today and showed it to Triple A. He then asked me if I saw Ken Block’s Gymkhana 2.1 video. I told him I know I’ve seen Gymkhana 2 and Gymkhana 3 but not 2.1.

This is an old video and the craziest jump I’ve seen. apparently this jump also has its own documentary too. Ken Carter tries to jump over 1 mile with his rocket car but fails and the car falls apart in mid-air and he gets 8 broken vertebrae as a result.

In this video my heart was pounding like crazy while I was watching it. This Crazy guy drives is Yamaha R1 motorbike in a very busy street squeezing through the tightest places. I was waiting for him to crash. The most intense part is near the end when it gets busy and he just didn’t want to use his breaks.

This is an old video of Jeremy Clarkson (Top Gear) taking a stroll in what is nicknamed “The Boneyard”, but officially known as the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group. With over 4,000 retired aircraft including every plane the US has flown since World War II. It is the world biggest plane cemetery.

Part of the collection are B-52 bombers, A-10 Thunderbolts, F-14 Tomcat, B-1 Lancer bomber and even F-16′s.

Like the idea of having multiple accounts on a single card and also having a portion of the card number not visible for security reasons.
