Game Jams: Metal Gear Solid 2 -Theme
7 Mar 2010 No Comments
This theme is one of the most cinematic scores in the history of gaming, which obviously matches the game to which its attached. Everything about this music screams “Play me I’m epic”, which it is.
Gaming Weekend
2 Mar 2010 No CommentsIn this long weekend we had the wise thing to do was stay indoors, away from all the madness and anarchy. And by doing so I managed to get some gaming time on my PC and XBOX 360.
I have already wrote about completing Indigo Prophecy, so I’m not going to talk about it much now.I will Just say that it was a great game and enjoyed playing it.
I also managed to finish Bioshock 2, I was a huge fan of the first installment of the game and I didn’t hesitate to get the second as soon as it got released. Plying as a Big Daddy rocks!!
I also had some time to download and try out Supreme Commander 2’s demo via Steam. Its a RTS game that looks really amazing. The game should be released today.\

Retro Gamer: Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit)
28 Feb 2010 No CommentsI only did one previous post in this category, and it was eons ago. This week I got another chance.
While browsing the net, reading some news and reviews on the new PS3 game Heavy Rain a lot of people were comparing it to Indigo Prophecy what some called the greatest video game ever. I realized that I never got to try out the game. and while I was clicking through Steam’s website. I found it the $10 section and thought why not, it was the perfect long weekend.
I downloaded the game and installed it and got around playing it Thursday night. The game doesn’t have much gameplay but rather a plethora of action sequences where you have to press certain buttons as they appear on the screen. But don’t get me wrong that is not bad at all, it blends well with the game.
It took me 2 days to complete the game with moderate playing time (4 hours a day) and really loved it.
Indigo Prophecy™ is an innovative adventure game that tells the story of Lucas Kane—an ordinary man who unconsciously commits a random act of murder. Through the use of branching storylines and multiple character perspectives, players embark on an immersive adventure on par with a Hollywood thriller.

Modern Day Rating:

5 years after its release, Indigo Prophecy is still an awesome game and is highly recommended.
Game Jams: Mega Man 2 Dr. Wily´s Castle
25 Feb 2010 4 CommentsIn the old days, video game looked like crap. The only thing that they had going for them was gameplay and music. The gameplay aspect ended when you stop playing the game but the if the game had a catchy tune. you’ll be humming it all year.
This is probably the most recognized Mega Man theme song, the Dr. Wily theme is a stellar example for the magic that was made back in the 8-bit glory days.
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier – Trailer
11 Feb 2010 1 Comment“The soldier of the future is an F-16 on legs”
Its been a while since the last Ghost Recon game. This trailer was just released. It doesn’t show any gameplay footage. Hope it brings something new to the table.
The game should be released next fall.
Left 4 Dead- Virtual Reality
6 Feb 2010 2 CommentsThis is Left 4 Dead in Virtual reality using a Wiimote and GlovePIE. Note, Somehow Adobe screwed up the vid and made interframe blending. Also, GlovePIE now supports the Wii MotionPlus, so I could do more accurate scripts and other things using reaction tracking. This isn’t the best video, using a cell phone for IRL frameinframe. I’ve since improved this script and made it to where you tilt the Wiimote up to reload. Also, it’d be in 3d if I weren’t making the video.
Transformers: War For Cybertron
16 Jan 2010 1 CommentFirst let me start off by saying that I’m a huge fan of the Transformers (G1 not the Michael Bay Crap!!). So I was excited when I read that there will be a new Transformers game that wont be based on the movies.
After watching the trailer above I thought that this might be a RTS game (real time strategy) because of Omega Supreme and Trypticon are both in the trailer and both of them are basically an Assault Base. But the studio behind the game (High Moon Studios) are the guys that made The Bourne Conspiracy – one of the most under-hyped game in my opinion and not a RTS game. So we have to wait and see some gameplay footage if this game lives up to the hype.
Optimus Prime treat after the break.
Games For Windows – First Impression
22 Dec 2009 No CommentsI downloaded the latest version of Games for Windows Live a couple of days ago and I was really impressed. I love the idea of a single account that you can use in cross-platform gaming. The only problem that I think with Games for Windows Live is the content. Its REALLY scarce, at the time of posting, there are only 14 full games you can download. The games available are not that great either, the best game in the bunch is RESIDENT EVIL 5 in my opinion.
I really hope they would add more content so that it would give services like Steam a run for its money.
Download Games for Windows Live here.
And again, my gamertag is uptill1, feel free to add me :)
