1. Deus Ex: Human Revolution

(Released)

Set in the year 2027, a prequel to the original Deus Ex (set in the year 2052 and was released almost 10 years ago). It is an FPS game with some RPG elements, has a great storyline and very good voice acting. Edios Montreal did an amazing job with this game, it is highly recommended.

2. Dead Island

(Released)

I posted the trailer when this game was first announced, I was commited to buying this game just because of the awesome trailer. It is a zombie FPS game, where you wakeup in a hotel room in an island were it becomes infested with zombies overnight. It reminds me of the original Resident Evil games when they were scary and got you on the edge of your seat.

3. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine

(Released)

Not to be confused with Warhammer 40,000: Dawn Of War the awesome RTS series, WH4K: Space Marine takes the Warhammer series to a new genre, the 3rd person shooter genre. The game looks really good and looking forward to it.

4. Gears of War 3

(Sept 20th)

The conclusion to the trilogy and highly anticipated XBOX 360 exclusive, GoW3 is a must for every Xbox 360 owner and 3rd person shooter lover. They always had weird and awesome trailers for GoW, this is no different but not as awesome as the original GoW trailer.

5. Rage

(Oct. 4th)

Another First Person Shooter, but this one is developed by id Software, the creators of the FPS genre with games like Quake and Doom. These guys are promising a new engine for this game and from what was released so far it looks really interesting.

6. Batman: Arkham City

(Oct. 18th)

A sequel to my 2009 game of the year, Batman Arkham City looks like to match if not exceed expectations. It is by far my most anticipated game in this list.

7. Battlefield 3

(Oct 25th)

A modern warfare FPS game.

8. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

(Nov. 8th)

Yet another modern warfare FPS game.

9. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

(Nov. 11th)

The Elders Scrolls V: Skyrim is the the fifth installment of the highly popular The Elders Scrolls action role-playing video game series. it will also offer  a ton of playing time.

10. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations

(Nov. 15th)

This will be the 4th game in the Assasin’s Creed series and the last game to be set in the Renaissance era also it will be the last game to feature bothe Atair and Ezio.

The game will be set in Ottoman Constantinople in 1511 AD and Ezio will still be fighting Templars.

There have been a lot of TV show cancelation lately, some of them were not bad. I also didn’t have time in the past few months to watch all the series I usually follow.

EA seems to be on the right track with their games, They are being praised a lot and getting good reviews all around. With NFL 10 (highest rating NFL game in this generation of consoles) and NFS: SHIFT (arguably the best Need For Speed game ever released) just to name a few.

Hope NBA live doesn’t disappoint.

Brutal Legend

Jack Black plays Eddie Riggs in Brutal Legend. The game looks fun and fun to play, The story line seems to be amusing also.

Borderlands

Borderlands is a First Person Shooter(FPS)/Role Playing Game(RPG) hyprid. If you are a fan of these geners, you are going to lofe this game.

I planned to get this game as soon as I saw the trailer. Loved the song and editing/montage of it.

The song is “No Heaven” by Champion by the way :)

FIFA Soccer 10

10/20 – 10/02 (Europe)

Another EA title, so it must be great, right? FIFA seems heading in the right direction since the last edition, hope this keeps going the same way. The video shows some of the improvements in this version.

PES has a large fan base here, and I will be bombarded for saying this, but Konami seems are talking a page from FIFA’s playbook by being more tactical and making the players feel a bit heavier/slower for more realism.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Uncharted was hailed as the best PS3 game when it was released back in 2007, and Uncharted 2 looks it wont disappoint. the excellent story line, humor and outstanding graphics that show the power of the PS3 are what will make this game a hit. of course the gameplay is great too.

With Batman: Arkham Asylum released a few days ago, and it being on of the most anticipated games of the summer, now we look forward to see what September has to offer.

*Note: A lot of games have been pushed back to 1st quarter of 2010 because of the amount of games being released in this quarter. And because no company wants to release its game so close to Modern Warfare 2, which will be released in November.

In other words, My top upcoming Xbox 360 and PS3 games lists are a little outdated.

Lets face it, super hero games always sucked. But Batman: Arkham Asylum is on its way to be the best superhero based game ever released (thats not a very high bar to start with) but using the Unreal 3 Engine looks a very good choice for this game.

Halo 3: ODST

Halo 3: Recon, billed as a prequel to Bungie’s best-selling Halo 3, tells the story from a new perspective.

Since there isn’t any decent competition in the 1st person genre during this period. Halo 3: ODST will be your only choice. Unless games like Singularity turns out to be a hit.

Just Cause 2

Dragon Age: Origins

BioShock 2, the sequel to the immensely popular survival-horror first-person shooter (Bioshock) is a must have game for sure. Anyone who played the 1st game will tell you it one of the best 1st person shooter games ever.
