Microsoft showed the world their new Mobile OS yesterday in Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress. Dubbed “Windows Phone 7 Series” the OS looks awesome from the hands-on and the demo videos that we have seen so far. They show off everything yet as it is still in development (will be released by the end of the year) but from what I’ve seen so far I’m definitely onboard.

With Windows Phone 7 Series Microsoft started from scratch that’s why every thing looks new, amazing and fresh. Windows Mobile 6.5 elements are nowhere to be seen, which is a blessing. The new OS blends The ZUNE HD’s UI with the Android OS’s functionality and integration.

Not to forget also that the ZUNE Service integration is there and works perfectly. and that was the only reason I didn’t buy a ZUNE HD, I wanted the service implemented in a phone and didn’t want to carry a dedicated MP3 player with me, even though the ZUNE HD is an amazing device. It is also integrated with XBOX LIVE, that should be fun.

They really are reminding us that they are still a major player in the smartphone business.

CES (Consumer Electronics Show) the biggest tech expo of the year is being held at the moment at Las Vegas, Nevada and a lot of new gadget are being showed there some a very interesting. Case in point , The Sony Dash

The Sony Dash is a nifty little device, its a clock/internet radio/digital album built around the Chumby OS. I wanted to get a Chumby device ever since I saw one a couple if years ago I even wanted to buy one with my last order in Amazon but it wasn’t available and I had to order it via their store. I just thought I might wait to see what CES had to offer.And I’m glad I did.

So it can run more than 1000 widget that are available for the Chumby, displays time,weather and streams audio/video on its 7” capacitive touch screen.

I saw this at a blog i have been reading for a while, Eleventh-St, and i think it is the car enthusiasts answer to microsoft’s flight simulator. Its worth £120,000 and will use either three 42 inch screens or stereo projectors. Among other things, it will recreate the g-forces felt in a real f1 car as accurately as possible. It is being marketed as not being a video game, i beg to differ. Maybe our friends at Gulfrun can make it part of their event for the future. Thanks Eleventh-St.

Random Information of the day : AT&T have confirmed that MMS will be available for its subscribers in the US from September 25th.

Well, Palm Pre is just a few days away from launch (next Saturday) and the reviews are popping up all over the net.

So what’s the verdict? It’s a wonderful phone with a lot of room for improvement. Hardware is good (I don’t care if they say it’s a little flimsy, physical keyboard is a humongous plus for me), software is pretty good all-around (even bests the iPhone in a lot of places) but there is definitely room for improvement.

Now we wait for a GSM version.

I poster 2 days ago about Ravege USB drive. Today I came across what looks like an updated Autobots Blaster, he turns into a Qosmio branded mini looking laptop witch is really a USB hub instead his original transformation to a cassette player.

This will also cost $42 and will be released in September.

I think this will be a really good mini HTPC, its fan-less so it should be really quite for starters.

It also have the Z530 processor so it should handle HD video just fine, a built in IR receiver – witch is really important for Media Centers, but no bluetooth.

Release is scheduled for this month and the price for the Windows XP SP3 version is about $400.

I might get one of these.
