KaKKuii, Kuwait’s 1st Online Game Rentals Store
5 Jan 2009 No CommentsKaKuii is Kuwait’s first games rental store, It’s much like gamefly (and if you don’t know gamefly its like netflix but for games). And they have a commendable selection of games.
So it goes like this, You pick a subscription (4 to choose from), create your game list and your games will be delivered at 5 PM. That’s it
And whenever you complete the game or just got bored, call them up to get your next game on the list.
It’s still in it’s early stages and some of the links don’t work just yet ( like the coming soon and the review section), but they should have them up and running soon.
if you are any kind of gamer you will appreciate the concept while saving a few dinars. We really needed a rental store here in Kuwait, It’s long overdue. But better late than never right?
And The 2008 Darwin Award Goes To….A Priest
5 Jan 2009 No CommentsWhat are the Darwin Awards you say??
From the website:
"Named in honor of Charles Darwin, the father of evolution, the Darwin Awards commemorate those who improve our gene pool by removing themselves from it."
So this years winner is a priest that attempted to break a record for the longest time in-flight with party balloons when he disappeared, he started at LA and the wind blew him towards the open sea.
3 months later his body was found near the south-eastern coast of Brazil

Apple Updates Macbook/Pro Line
27 Feb 2008 No CommentsAs we reported a few weeks ago, Apple today updated its Macbook and MBP lines. Macbook now tops at 2.4GHz while the MBP comes with 2.4 and a 256MB Graphic card as a standard and tops at 2.6Ghz with 512MB Graphic card. Also a nice addition to the MBP is the multi-touch.
The Apple remote is now no longer included in the package and considered an accessory which can be bought for $19, also no multi-touch for the Macbook – bummer.
B-2 Bomber Crashes, $1.2Billion Turns To Dust
25 Feb 2008 2 CommentsAn American B-2 bomber crashed yesterday for "unknown reasons", bringing the fleet of 21 to 20. Both pilots ejected safely. The B-2 bomber is the coolest looking bomber out there, and each one of those babies cost a whooping $1.2bn(ouch), so they are not cheap. So I guess there are people who are really crying for the loss of this aircraft.

Firefox Reaches 500,000,000 Downloads
22 Feb 2008 No CommentsYesterday Firefox hit the 500,000,000 (that’s five hundred million) downloads.
From the website:
" Firefox just reached 500,000,000 downloads. This is an absolutely phenomenal milestone for Firefox. It is sort of hard to imagine what that number means. For some perspective, that’s roughly the audience size of 10,000 Rome Colosseums combined. It would be the weight, in kilograms, of 8,500 Boeing 747 airplanes. In dollars, for $500 million you and 15 of your friends can fly to the International Space Station."
Due to this wonderful occasion I’ll be posting the top 10 Firefox add-ons.
