Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-

30 Jan 2008  No Comments

It’s my 1st post here, so I would like to introduce one of my favourite games which I’m waiting for. Crisis Core basically serves as a prequel to the original Final Fantasy VII which was released on the PSX more than a decade ago, so even though the people who didn’t get the chance to play this awesome game on the PSX, they can still can play this one which will be released on the PSP in the US on March 25, 2008, the Japanese version has been already released on September 13, 2007. So even though I’ve completed the Japanese one, I’m still waiting for the US to be released, I may as well add that Nintendo DS in Japan was kicking the PSP’s butt there when talking about the sales, however, when Crisis Core was released, and due to having it’s own PSP Slim Edition, the week which the game was released on placed the PSP on top of the DS, so no wonder this game is going to be a big hit in the US after less than 2 months from now. On a last note, Square Enix recently announced Crisis Core was its best-selling game across all regions from last April through September with 710,000 copies sold in Japan and here’s a trailer for those who are interested, it’s Japanese voiced with English subtitles, enjoy.

ARCHOS TV+ DVR & Media Extender

Check-out the review by PC Magazine of the featured new Media Extender with better features than currently existing ones. Available for 350$-250$ depending on the capacity (250GB or 80GB). PC Magazine Summarizes the review with "It certainly takes some effort to set up, and extra money to customize with plug-ins you may want, but the bottom line is: It works. Is it always a seamless process? No. Is there HD support? Not yet. Is the user interface a bit annoying? Yes. Is there another DVR-media extender combo on the market that could be described as reliable? No. So, get over the drawbacks and embrace a feature set that Apple fanboys can only dream of".

MacBook Air Killer !

21 Jan 2008  No Comments

Lenovo’s new X300 series Thinkpad was leaked on the internet by Gizmodo with the beefy features shown in the picture.

image

In terms of features it single handedly beats MacBook Air (it has a dvd buner!) but the Air just looks better.

I wonder what more can the market bring in respond to Macbook  Air ?!

UPDATE: Toshiba’s R500 (claims to be the thinnest 25.5mm thick & weights 1.7 lbs) just added 3G connectivity, Also Fujitsu’s LifeBook P1620 Tablet PC (8.9" WXGA touch screen display) can fall into the criteria. lets hope for the $3000-$4000 price tag to drop in parallel with Macbook Air $1800-$3000.
