The Lens Cups

Lens Cup 1

I’ve had these lens cups for a couple of years now and I have been using small one as pen holders as I hate the metallic innards of the mug. I really can’t remember where exactly I got them from but they are pretty wide spread at the moment and available at a number of online retailers now and easy to find. The quality isn’t that great as the as the lens/cup cover doesn’t stagy on for the black small cup which is irritating even though I don’t use the cover.

Lens Cup 2

You can get those 2 cup from Photojojo even though it isn’t the place I got it from. The black 24-105mm lens cup is sold for almost 6.5KD and the white 70-200mm travel mug will cost you 8.5KD.

Aramex Customs Headache Resolved !

27 Oct 2009  3 Comments

All Aramex customers have received the following e-mail with some sort of a relief.

“Hello Shop&Shippers!

We understand it’s been a rough week for all of you, but finally, Kuwait Customs’ policy has cleared up, and we’re happy to say that online shopping is about to become more fun than ever!

So here’s the bottom line: regardless of the goods value, all shipments are subject to customs clearance. We’ll clear all shipments in one bundle, and pay the charged customs duties accordingly. You read correctly; it’s on us!

In this case, you will only endure the following charges:

  • 1 KD handling charges
  • 5% of order value for Kuwait Customs duties (applicable only to orders valued above $100 USD)

However, self-clearance option is no longer available for our customers. You can contact us at [+ 965 1 820011] for further details.

Happy online shopping!

Your friends at Shop&Ship,”

BUT this will not eliminate the delay caused by the customs, I’ve been waiting since Oct 15th for a shipment to be cleared by them !

Update: I received my shipment yesterday costing 8.7 KD for 3.65 lbs package ! This is less than the expected cost after customs !

Swine Flu (H1N1) Or Money Flow !

10 Aug 2009  10 Comments

With all the hype that came with the swine flu pandemic and the built up propaganda of a new deadly virus that could kill millions, and already scared billions. I came across this article that raised some eyebrows, dropped some jaws, and sounded a loud & clear WTF !

In general, the article points out that Baxter pharmaceutical Inc. have filed a patent for the H1N1 virus and its strains 2 years before the pandemic, also the company has a factory in Mexico 50 miles from the virus outbreak location. Now the company have stopped taking orders for the vaccine as they will not be able to fulfill them all.

Though all the facts mentioned can be nothing but a coincidence, the timing was just perfect after the economical recession !

Are Dentist’s Real Doctor’s?

5 Aug 2009  79 Comments

As i noticed from the comments the past few days is that there is alot of animosity towards dentists. Is it because they are not real doctors? or are they real doctors? or is that they pretend to be doctors so well that we think they are doctors? Either way, i googled around earlier to find that there are so many sites and blogs bashing dentists for being doctors! and in return there are hundreds of sites of poor dentists explaining why they should be doctors and even that they have a harder job than real doctors.(like we are going to believe that) ok im just kidding, i dont want any dentists to get mad at me. i found an interesting article in one site with an excerpt from The Independent which said :

Dr Douglas Pike – the General Dental Council’s decision to permit use of the title is effective immediately – said that his sole aim was to bring Britain into “harmony” with the rest of the world. Dr Pike, who practises in Sudbury, Suffolk, said: “We are primary healthcare workers just like GPs. We prescribe drugs, take biopsies and X-rays, and our training is very similar.”

Simple Pleasures

2 Aug 2009  No Comments

Hobby, profession, work, fun … etc

There is a different level of pleasure in all of them for every person, last night I was thinking to myself what shoots my pleasure up high while doing it ?

I simply see it as follows:

1- Too good at it.

2- Too good for somebody else that you care for.

3- Just meant to be (naturally godly induced desires).

4- If you have absolutely no pleasure in doing something then you can teach yourself (trick your psyche part of your brain) to love it, just smile and say “WOOOW that was AWESOME” !

All what I have previously said was an introduction to say, “Yesterday, myself & N waited Two & Half hours just to play football for 2 hours a week in September & October” !!

though we thought we came early, 30 people were before us ! how early do we need to come to be the 1st to have a number ?

Now why can’t Youth & Sports Association (elhayaa) provide more facilities for this one highly desired pleasure, let’s say in every school and be opened for the public. With all the millions spent on whatever and the millions stolen by whoever, why not help us to steer our youth away from forbidden pleasures toward a healthy bright future, not just for sports but all kind of things.
