Annual Format
2 Jan 2010 6 CommentsI usually format my PC’s/Macs at least once a year to get things up and running again really smooth. I just formatted my 13” Macbook Pro installed leopard (waiting for snow leopard to arrive). I also installed Windows 7 via boot camp, had some problems with the drivers, but found some windows 7 derivers that are available on the Snow Leopard dvd via torrent.
Now everything is running great (except for the volume of the built-in speakers while using windows 7). No clutter on my desktop, and I’m using Windows 7 as my main OS on the MBP.
I love the clutter-less desktop, it wont take too long before filling it up again.
The Good Old Days – WIMPY
29 Dec 2009 8 CommentsAfter reading Ansam’s post a few days ago about her having WIMPY for lunch, I immediately wanted to get some. The last time I had a Wimpy burger was ages ago, I also managed to talk the guys in the Diwaniya into ordering with me.
We all ordered the quarter pounder w/egg, its not the best burger in the world but it has a distinct taste to it, it really brought back memories, not all good, not all good but still memories. I will most definitely be having some again soon.

My Limited Edition Xbox 360 is Finally Here
22 Nov 2009 7 CommentsI placed an order for this the day it came out (Nov. 10th) it arrived in my Aramex mailbox on the 12th, and then, no activity for more than a week. i was checking my Aramex account daily but it was still showing that my package is shipped but it didn’t pop up anywhere.
Yesterday, out of the blue, when I was with my kids in the Clinic, my brother called me and told me that Aramex are at the door and they want 60 KD, and he didn’t have cash on him. The problem is I didn’t get a SMS notifying me of the package being delivered and I checked the day before my online account and didn’t see anything.
Anyway, glad I have my new 360, Time for some MW2

Canceling My Internet Subscription
7 Sep 2009 13 CommentsAs I mentioned in a previous post, I was planing to upgrade my DSL connection from 2MB to 4MB. I’m currently a United Networks customer and happy with it, kind of.

First of all, they max out at 2MB witch was my main problem, this meant that I needed to switch ISPs. But in order to do that I came across my second problem, you can’t cancel your internet subscription from any of their offices, you have to go to the main office. Thats fine, except that the main office is located in “dhajeej”. And It’s a nightmare during Ramadan, I mean, it took me 50 minutes from being on the 6th ring road right in front of the Global Direct building to actually be in front of it. And then it took me another 15-20 minutes to find a parking space, which I didn’t, I ended up just throwing the car anywhere just so that I can cancel my internet subscription.

Now that I had my Hero for 2 weeks, I can start blabbering about it.
let me start with this, I had very high hopes for the device before it got released. I wanted a device that could do things the iPhone couldn’t do. The android platform didn’t disappoint.
Hai Bali
16 Aug 2009 4 Comments
I never thought one day that I’ll go to Bali, not because that I didn’t want to but didn’t feel the need to do it since I already explored most of southeast Asia. But when you have a free one … hey why not :). So I packed my bags and decided to go, and with all the problems I faced before leaving (ticketing issues and even a bruised 5th metatarsal) I wasn’t going to miss such an opportunity.
