“only players that are natural-born United State citizens with both parents of Caucasian race are eligible to play in the league.”
“Would you want to go to the game and worry about a player flipping you off or attacking you in the stands or grabbing their crotch?”
The above statements are a couple of the ridiculous comments Don “Moose” Lewis, a former wrestling promoter, has been quoting as saying when marketing his new league. He refers to how “color” has made it more of “street ball” and that basketball leagues (NBA) have lost their fundamentals.
No more superstars and hall of famers like the above then?
BGR has an insider that confirms that the new iPhone OS (iPhone OS 4.0) will have multitasking capability (among other tweaks).
- There will be multi-touch gestures OS-wide. (Would make sense for that as the rumored OS for the iTablet is close if not the same as the iPhone)
- “A few new ways” to run applications in the background — multitasking.
- Many graphical and UI changes to make navigating through the OS easier and more efficient. We haven’t had this broken down, but we can only hope for improved notifications, a refreshed homescreen, etc.
- The update will supposedly be available for only the iPhone 3G and 3GS, but will “put them ahead in the smartphone market because it will make them more like full-fledged computers” more than any other phone to date. Everyone is “really excited.”
- The last piece of information is the most vague, but apparently there will be some brand new syncing ability for the contacts and calendar applications.
If that’s true, this takes the iphone to a whole new level. One of my main complaints was multitasking, so this will make me fall in love with the iphone again.
Now we just hope that there will be some hardware upgrades.
I know I just got my Nexus One, but WMC is next month and the rumor mill is going crazy. It looks like Microsoft’s upcoming Windows Mobile 7 might be the long awaited Zune Phone AKA Project Pink. Steve Ballmer (CEO of Microsoft) did confirm in an interview last month that the new Windows Mobile 7 will have integrated Zune functionality, but didn’t give any further details.
What’s exiting about this is not only the software, but also the hardware. The rumored device (LG Apollo) Specs are just insane:
- Launching: August/September 2010
- CPU: Qualcomm QSD8650; 1.3GHz
- CDMA + GSM (aka a World Phone)
- EvDO + HSDPA

I guess we will have to wait till next month to find out.

With all thats going on with Swine Flu around the world, and more importantly in Kuwait, we are all faced with a new dilemma. The vaccine is now available for the elderly and young, and those suffering certain health conditions. So the question is, do we take it? Do we give it to our kids? With viral emails and endless websites talking about the side effects, you really don’t know whats true and whats made up. There is a panel in the US set up to monitor the side-effects of the vaccine, you can read about it here. You can also check some of the side effects so far in this article. Kuwait’s Minister of Health, Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer has already taken the vaccine in order to release some of the anxiety faced by many people regarding its safety. Knowing his credibility, the majority will deny it was taken for “politics” in order to calm everyone down. It was a great step by him, but are the rest of us as brave to do the same for our loved ones?
For years and years we have heard of local banks giving away millions of KD in prizes. From NBK’s Jawhara to Gulf Bank’s Al-Dana to CBK’s Najma and more recentlyو BKME’s Hassad grand prize. But the myth is as follows: if you have a relative of the first degree working in any of these banks, you are automatically out of the running to win it, so its better off moving your money elsewhere. I never got the logic of that, and still dont truly believe it, but can anyone guarantee this with facts?
Will they, won’t they, They will sell, no they won’t. Some of the worlds most powerful men going head to head. Or is it just a figment of people’s imagination? With so much riding on this deal, its taking a toll on everyone. From the biggest investor, to that little guy who put all his savings into this deal. The rumours are endless, the names keep coming up and companies keep on coming out with statements in newspapers, and then their official spokespeople deny them. Let’s just hope it ends soon. The stock market is being affected, everyone with shares is being affected, and its put everyone in a bad mood. Just get it over with and make it “a wonderful world.”
These are both rumours, but they have been both circulating around the web recently. It seems Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will team up again to bring you the third installment of their movie, you can check the link below the image.
Also, everyone’s favorite 62-year old wants to make another comeback, this time with his Rambo Franchise. Rumoured to be acting alongside Mickey Rourke for the part, he will also direct it, if it ever takes off. But for now you will be guaranteed to see his monster 6-pack in 2010 in the The Expendables.
Right after Sony’s PS3 Slim’s announcement, Microsoft hit back with taking $100 of the XBox Elite’s price, putting it in the same ballpark as the PS3 both now cost $299.
Amazon Germany listed a new SKU that that is bundled with 2 wireless controllers, Forza motor sport 3 and a 250GB hard drive for $400. Microsoft currently sells 120GB maximum. That is big news for people like me that have the original 20GB hard drive and are holding out for an upgrade. I’ve been using the “install on hard drive” function on the 360 and love it, but the 20GB doesn’t hold much.
Amazon Germany took of the webpage but they have history of leaking new consoles before their announcement.
It seems that Halo, the top XBox franchise and almost every PlayStation owner’s envy, will be coming to the big screen. After talks fell through a few months back, its a possibility again, with names like the legendary Steven Spielberg behind the project. I just cant wait for this to be confirmed.
What makes the Halo franchise better than most of the other FPS’s (First-Person-Shooter) out there is the story is very well written. And it will make a great movie if it gets a decent screen writer.
