The “Playstation Move” Ad
18 Mar 2010 No Comments
An advertisement for Sony’s upcoming motion controller that they call “Move” was just released and there are some references to Microsoft and Nintendo in it. Overall the advert in my opinion is pretty good and the points that its making are legitimate. It seems that Sony are taking a play right out of Apple’s book.
The references are:
- "Because real boxers don’t hit like this” <– Wii Sports/Boxing
- "It’s also got what we in the future call buttons, which turn out to be pretty important to those handful of millions of people who enjoy playing shooters, platformers, well, anything that doesn’t involve catching a big red ball." <– Microsoft’s Project Natal
- "C’mon, who wants to pretend their hand is a gun. What is this, third grade? Pew, pew, pew.”<– Microsoft’s Project Natal

Stupid Drivers
17 Mar 2010 2 CommentsI saw these 3 videos while I was browsing today. All I can say is that the roads are really not safe and we have to focus more when having people like the ones in the videos on the road.
Drive safely.

TVU – Watch TV Anywhere
14 Mar 2010 1 CommentTVU is a good way to watch a number of TV channels via internet either using your PC,Mac or iPhone. On all platforms you will need to install an application that will act as your player.
In the desktop version its much easier to search for a channel as there are categories you can go through. But once you get to know the good channels, it shouldn’t be hard to hunt them down on the iPhone too. And I also recommend once you find a channel you like, add it to you favorites.
I’ve tried TVU on my iPhone a few months back. it was pretty stable and did what is said it did. And today, I gave the desktop version a try.
Both desktop and iPhone apps are free.

Acclaimed filmmaker Zack Snyder makes his animation debut with the fantasy family adventure "Legend of the Guardians," based on the beloved books by Kathryn Lasky. The film follows Soren, a young owl enthralled by his father’s epic stories of the Guardians of Ga’Hoole, a mythic band of winged warriors who had fought a great battle to save all of owlkind from the evil Pure Ones. While Soren dreams of someday joining his heroes, his older brother, Kludd, scoffs at the notion, and yearns to hunt, fly and steal his father’s favor from his younger sibling. But Kludd’s jealousy has terrible consequences–causing both owlets to fall from their treetop home and right into the talons of the Pure Ones. Now it is up to Soren to make a daring escape with the help of other brave young owls. Together they soar across the sea and through the mist to find the Great Tree, home of the legendary Guardians of Ga’Hoole–Soren’s only hope of defeating the Pure Ones and saving the owl kingdoms.
After Life
After a horrific car accident, Anna (Christina Ricci) wakes up to find the local funeral director Eliot Deacon (Liam Neeson) preparing her body for her funeral. Confused, terrified and feeling still very much alive, Anna doesn’t believe she’s dead, despite the funeral director’s reassurances that she is merely in transition to the afterlife. Eliot convinces her he has the ability to communicate with the dead and is the only one who can help her. Trapped inside the funeral home, with nobody to turn to except Eliot, Anna is forced to face her deepest fears and accept her own death. But Anna’s grief—stricken boyfriend Paul (Justin Long) still can’t shake the nagging suspicion that Eliot isn’t what he appears to be. As the funeral nears, Paul gets closer to unlocking the disturbing truth, but it could be too late; Anna may have already begun to cross over the other side. With an unrelenting edge of menace, "After.Life" is a stylish psychological thriller which provocatively questions the line between life and death.
